Older Puppies & Retiring Adults
Not every Lost Creek dog comes home as an 8-week-old pup. Some of our puppies stay on the farm a little longer, and some of our mamas are ready to retire. Either way, you skip the newborn stage and know exactly who you're getting.
Retiring Adults
These grown-up girls have given us some wonderful litters, and now they're ready to be somebody's one-and-only. They've lived in the house and on the farm, not in kennels, so they're used to kids, other dogs, goats, chickens, ducks, and guineas.
Virgie
Mini Australian Shepherd · Tricolor
Virgie has been a wonderful mama for us, and she just had her last litter. Now she's ready to retire to a home of her own. She's small but confident, smart, silly, and loving, and she's got the best grin on the farm. She loves to run and chase the other dogs, and she'll happily snuggle up with you at the end of the day.

Virgie on the porch this week
Best fit: Just about anywhere. An apartment, an RV, a house, or a farm, with or without kids. She's up for adventure and travel, so she'd love a family that takes her along.
Why she's free: Virgie is free to a good home because her new family will be responsible for having her spayed and getting her vaccines updated. And like all Aussies, she sheds.

Remi

Remi (short for Remedy) is loyal, loving, and doting. She just wants a family to love on. She's calm, with a great temperament, and she's just a very, very good dog.

Lady

Lady is one of the sweetest girls on the farm. She's gentle and a little submissive, never pushy, and she gets along with everybody. There's still plenty of puppy in her, so she loves to run, play, and just be happy. Her mom is an AKC English Lab from our English Lab line and her dad is a Poodle. After two litters, Lady is retired and ready to be somebody's family dog. She's lived both inside the house and in an outdoor building with a run, so she's comfortable either way.

Best fit: Just about any family. She'd love kids to play with and gets along with other pets. She needs a backyard or plenty of exercise through walks, hikes, jogs, or playtime.
Why she's free: Lady is microchipped, but she isn't spayed yet and her vaccinations will need to be updated by her new family. Her littermates went home for $1,750 to $2,200.
Slightly Older Puppies
Most of our puppies go home between 8 and 10 weeks. Every so often a pup stays on the farm a little longer, and we put that time to good use with training, lots of handling, and plenty of farm life.

When a pup stays with us past 10 weeks, this is where you'll see them first. In the meantime, take a look at our newest litters or join our email list for a heads-up.
Good to know
Retiring adults. Some of our retiring adults are free to a good home, and some have a rehoming fee. Each card tells you, or just ask. Free dogs may need a spay or vaccine update, which the new family takes care of.
Discounted vs. trained. Not every older pup is trained, and not every one is discounted. Each card shows exactly where they are and lists every skill they're working on.
Same Lost Creek support. Every dog on this page comes with lifetime support from our family.
Discounts for those who serve. Our discount for educators, first responders, and military applies to full-price puppies only, so it doesn't stack with older-pup or retiring-adult pricing.
